Association for People Advancement and Action Research (APAAR) is a NGO working in Pithoragarh District for promoting the livelihood of the communities residing in the district directly or in partnership mode.
It is a project implementation agency of Himmotthan Society for Uttarakhand Post Disaster Livelihood Program (UPDLP), IMF and Livestock project. Presently, the organization is implementing projects of Himmotthan Society in 8 villages of Dharchula Block of Pithoragarh District.
Chirag is a civil society organization based out at Kumaun region of Uttarakhand in India and works closely with communities on issues relating to forestry, soil and water conservation, agriculture, animal husbandry, drinking water, health care, and education.
Chirag is project implementation partner of Himmotthan Society for implementing the projects in kumaon region. Presently, it is implementing livestock, education and IMF projects in 89 villages covering six blocks of four districts namely Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh and Bagesware.
Gene Campaign is a research and advocacy organisation dedicated to food and livelihood security of rural and adivasi communities, rights of farmers and local communities, rights of farmers and local communities. It works with communities in villages as well as at policy making levels to ensure rights of farmers and local communities over their biodiversity and indigenous knowledge. Gene Campaign work is focused in Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Grass is a civil society organization working in Kumaon region on livelihood promotion and other rural development concerning issues. The organization has partnered with Himmotthan Society for coordinating Social development projects in kumaon region. Presently, it is implementing NRLP, IMF and Livestock projects of Himmotthan Society in 18 villages of barakot block of Champawat District.
HERDS is Tehri based voluntary organization Registered Under the society registration act of 1860 in Uttarakhand State of India. HERDS is implementing watershed Management, Livelihood, Environment awareness projects running through Himmotthan Society under Tata Water Mission.
Himalayan Institute and Hospital Trust (HIHT) is one of the renowned civil society organization based out at Jollygrant, Dehradun working for rural development and running hospital as well. Himmotthan Society has partnered with HIHT for implementing its projects on Livestock and Micro Finance in Tehri Garhwal. Presently, HIHT is implementing Himmotthan’s project in Tehri Garhwal.
HIMAD, a team of progressive youth who believe in the process of social change through community empowerment, came into existence in 1995. Presently, it is project implementation partner of Himmotthan Society in its livestock and IMF Project in 44 villages of Karanprayag block of Chamoli district.
Kapkot Sewa Samiti (KSS) is a Non Profit and Non-Governmental Voluntary Organization working for socioeconomic up-liftment and sustainable development of hill communities since 2002. it provides trainings and workshop programs for rural youth, farm women and students to generate employment and sustain livelihood in remote areas of Uttarakhand. It has partnered with Himmotthan Society for implementing livestock and IMF project in 10 villages of kapkot block of Bagesware District.
Mountain Children’s Foundation (MCF) was formed to bring changes in lives of the communities living in the mountain state of Uttarakhand. MCF is creating a state-wide network of children that can harness the power of collective action to make their voices heard and their concerns noted. It is a education project implementation partner of Himmotthan Society in Garhwal region.
Mount Valley Development Association (MVDA) has its roots in Sarvodaya Andolan. MVDA has promoted a dairy enterprise through women federation of 252 members from 30 SHGs in Ghansali and Pokhal cluster within Tehri district, named Umang Swayath Sahkarita registered under the Uttaranchal Self Reliant Cooperative Act, 2003.
MVDA has partnership with Himmotthan Society for implementing livestock, MMAP and IMF projects. Presently, it is implementing Himmotthan’s project in 23 villages in two blocks of Tehri district.
Rural Technology & Development Centre (RTDC), Palampur, Himachal Pradesh is working as a voluntary action group. It was founded on 1988. RTDC works with marginalized groups such as Mountain Dalits, scheduled tribes, OBCs, women and children, persons with disability (PWD), safai kaamgaars (manual scavengers), displaced people, nomadic communities and religious minorities.
Rural Initiative for Social Engineering (RISE), an organization focused towards Social, Economical, Educational and Cultural Empowerment of rural communities. It is working in pithoragarh district and is project implementation partner of Himmotthan Society in Micro Finance and Enterprises promotion activities.
Presently, it is implementing the projects of Himmotthan Society in 12 villages in gangolihaat block of Pithoragarh district.
Sanjeevani Vikas Evam Jan Kalyan Samiti is a nonprofit, rural development and voluntary organisation in India whose mission is to eliminate poverty, unemployment, poor health and illiteracy. Sanjeevani is an indigenous NGO based in Almora District in Northern India(Himalyan Rigion)
It is a grassroots level civil society organization working in Tharali, chamoli for the rural development. This organization is assisting Himmotthan Society to run STAR, Micro finance and livestock projects in the respective communities.
Presently, the organization is implementing Himmotthan’s project in 20 villages of tharali block of Chamoli district.
Shri Bhuvaneshwari Mahila Ashram (SBMA)is one of the oldest NGO of uttarakhand working for social cause in Tehri, Chamoli and Uttarkashi area since last two decades. It is also supporting post disaster relief project, agriculture and micro finance project of Himmotthan Society in Uttarkashi area. Presently, it is implementing Himmotthan’s project in 10 villages of bhatwari block of Uttarkashi district.
SIMAR is working, since 1999, in Pinder Valley of Uttaranchal in Indian Himalayas. The interventions of SIMAR focus on women empowerment for sustainable management of natural resources. SIMAR is also engaged in research and studies on various NRM issues. Presently, it is implementing Livestock, IMF and NRLP projects of Himmotthan Society in 22 villages of two blocks of Chamoli and Bagesware district.
The Himalaya Trust (THT) is a registered society of dedicated grassroots workers which has been working with the mountain people of Uttarakhand since 1993 on issues of environmental and natural resource degradation which threaten the self-sufficient existence of small highland village communities. It is project implementation partner organization for IMF and MMAP projects of Himmotthan Society working in 6 villages of bhatwari block of Uttarkashi district.
Udyogini, a Delhi based organization, was set up to co-ordinate and facilitate management training for grassroots womens’ groups for the World Bank Institute-funded Women’s Enterprise Management Training Outreach Program (WEMTOP). Himmotthan has partnered with Udyogini to attain their technological expertise in building the capacity of field staff for promoting enterprise as well as to train SHG women at the grassroots level to manage enterprises effectively and efficiently.
Uttarapath Sewa Sanstha is Pithoragarh based Non-Profit Organization which works in the field of Natural Resource Management. USS strategy is to assist Himalayan village communities in conserving their natural resources and biodiversity while developing economic opportunities through non-timber forest produce.
