Ray of Hope

Pawan Kumar is a student of second standard with hearing and speaking impairment. He is an enthusiastic Child with zeal to learn and gain new skills. In October 2015, it was for the first time that Kavita Kapil, Baal Sikshika, Govt. Primary School, Ramgarh noticed Pawan. He was although enrolled in Anganwadi but was always an absentee. Earlier he was admitted in standard 1 but, due to some reasons his admission was cancelled. Pawan was always a quiet Child and he still had a perception that he is in 1st standard. For the whole year Kavita observed him as he never spoke a single word. In the year 2016, Pawan moved from Anganwadi to school and Kavita was worried because of his limitations.

Throughout the year Kavita, who is a trained BalShikshika taught him using various innovative techniques like repeating the same word again and again and using pictorial methods of teaching. Initially Kavita had hardship to find the suitable way of teaching to Pawan but, it was a mutual effort of both that soon Pawan started grasping easily. Kavita found that Pawan has a very beautiful handwriting and he is very fond of making sketches. Kavita promoted these characteristics of Pawan and always inspire him to do well. As a result of continuous efforts of Kavita and dedication of Pawan, the School life became fun and now Pawan has started enjoying the ones haunted dream of his life.
